Chris Lema has been building and marketing SaaS products since before they were called SaaS products. Today he's working on turning the most widely used eCommerce platform (WooCommerce) into a SaaS.
Nexcess, a Liquid Web company, is a hosting provider focused on the creators who build and power the internet. The first company to create a Managed WooCommerce hosting product, they're not focused on SaaS-ifying it.
I introduce my bridge framework for shaping the stories you tell for your product. The takeaways include:
- No one feels like they need a bridge until they're facing a river.
- It's a lot easier to sell the bridge when people have tried to get over the river.
- It's better to spend more time on the river and roadblocks than on the bridge.
